Any guesses how much of our Earth planet is made of water? So the answer is It is actually very little . Although 70% of surface of earth is covered by oceans of saline water and remaining 30% contains islands, & continents there is freshwater lakes and frozen water that is locked up into glaciers and the polar ice caps. This globe illustration is actually showing us the relative amount of water as if we compared it with the size of earth. You must be surprised that these water sphere looks so small? But actually they are small in relation to the earth size . There is also the plenty of water beneath our Earth surface like there is more freshwater stored in the ground then in liquid form on the surface of earth.
